Berlin – Der „SchMERZ-Tag“ nach der Wahl in Sachsen-Anhalt hat begonnen. In Berlin treffen sich die Spitzen von CDU und SPD zu Krisensitzungen. Die wichtigste Frage: Was wird aus der schwarz-roten Bundesregierung und welche Konsequenzen ziehen die Parteichefs für sich selbst? Fest steht schon jetzt: Kanzler Friedrich Merz (70, CDU) und den SPD‑Parteichefs Lars Klingbeil (48) und Bärbel Bas (58) droht ein Scherbengericht.Besonders der Kanzler steht massiv unter Druck! BILD weiß: Merz ließ die eigentlich für 9 Uhr angesetzte Präsidiumssitzung kurzfristig verschieben. Stattdessen trommelte er zunächst mehrere CDU‑Ministerpräsidenten für ein Treffen zusammen. Merz lud sie in sein Büro, um am Vorabend begonnene Gespräche zu vertiefen, wie es aus seinem Umfeld hieß. Wichtige Präsidiumsmitglieder, die für 9 Uhr einbestellt worden waren, mussten warten.
Nach BILD-Informationen hatte Merz mit der Krisenrunde bereits am Sonntagabend vom Kanzleramt aus in verschiedenen Konstellationen telefoniert, nachdem er die CDU-Zentrale gegen 22.15 Uhr verlassen hatte. Der Redebedarf: groß!
Seit 11 Uhr tagt Merz nun mit dem gesamten CDU‑Bundesvorstand. Die Stimmung in der Runde: unterkühlt. Kein Wort des Dankes und keine Blumen für Wahlverlierer Sven Schulze (47), solange die Fotografen mit im Raum waren.
Erst gegen 13.30 Uhr ist danach ein öffentlicher Auftritt des Kanzlers geplant, zusammen mit Schulze, der für die CDU katastrophale 17,2 Prozent in Sachsen-Anhalt eingefahren hatte. Der Noch-Ministerpräsident hatte indirekt schon seinen Rückzug angekündigt.
