READ DESCRIPTIONPeople like to joke about this chapter that it's just rails, but honestly this chapter I was dreading the most, as there's a few brutal fights in here on FreshMN, and this is with added restrictions. I end up using a single ressurection during the 'infamous' bridge fight. Feel that death was undeserved and at that point I could taste victory, and I knew a free one was coming up shortly anyway. I dodged to evade his slash, only for him to just turn 180degrees and hit me in the recovery.
The boss of this stage is pretty fun, I like the focus on the enemies surrounding the boss making for a fun fight (when the targetting doesn't shit itself). Once he's by himself he's pretty easy, just wail on him until you see a breakable move. YY BRX YY is still a fantastic punish that deals good stagger and high damage too.
One thing I do think is a travesty is how unfocused the platforming is. Yakumo and Ryu both are very static, and one motion cannot lead to the next. Wallrunning into a walljump is already asking to much, let alone ending a walljump into an on-landing jump. I was exceptionally annoyed when I realized you cannot wallrun up to the hidden NG+ fight, not because you cannot reach that high, but because those walls are flagged as 'non wallrun' and thus Yakumo just will jump into them.
