Markus Söder, Manuel Hagel und Sebastian Lechner fordern in einem Brief an EU-Kommissionspräsidentin Ursula von der Leyen eine Kurskorrektur bei den geplanten Klimazielen für Autos. Sie verlangen mehr Technologieoffenheit, flexiblere CO₂-Vorgaben und die Anerkennung erneuerbarer Kraftstoffe als klimaneutrale Lösung. Die Union warnt davor, Klimaschutz gegen wirtschaftliche Stärke, Innovation und Arbeitsplätze auszuspielen.
