Strangely Dressed Man
We've all fantasized of owning our own time machine, with the goal of traveling back in time to see dinosaurs or thousands of years into the future to fly a car around the sky, but one man claims to have accomplished this feat. Over the years, we've heard a lot of folks declare they've jumped back and forth in time. However, most of their stories are easily refuted, and none are as interesting as Sergei Ponomarenko's. Back in 2006, the world came to a halt when a Ukrainian man arrived in Kyiv, claiming to be from 1932, and, while many people would conclude he was nuts or lying, he had a strong case. Wearing a vintage dress and an old-fashioned camera around his neck, he unmistakably appeared to be from the year he claimed.
Police Investigated and Identification
Kyiv police officers, like most law enforcement officials, have dealt with their fair share of crime and other minor incidents. But in 2006, a few officers arrested Ponomarenko for suspicious behavior. He appeared to be in his late twenties or early thirties and was dressed like someone from an old movie. Sergei Ponomarenko appeared confused and hurried, which was not unusual for someone who had recently been jailed. What was peculiar was that he kept asking what year it was.
