Siamo a novembre 2022, la guerra tra #Russia e Ucraina si è espansa nel febbraio precedente e i russi si sono appena ritirati da Kherson, città fulcro del conflitto. Ma la ritirata delle truppe non significa sconfitta, né pace. Come analizzato correttamente dal fotoreporter #GiorgioBianchi in un'intervista di quel tempo concessa a Francesco Borgonovo, la Russia darà vita a una strategia diversa.
Gli ultimi attacchi alle infrastrutture energetiche risalgono a maggio e a giugno 2024. Ma la guerra tra Russia e Ucraina comincia ben prima: non nel 2022, ma nel 2014. Cruciale la regione del #Donbass e il noto Euromaidan, manifestazione in cui morirono oltre 100 persone tra manifestanti e polizia. Giorgio Bianchi era lì.
Il suo lavoro in Ucraina è incessante da diverso tempo, ma è più riconosciuto solo dopo febbraio 2022. Talvolta, però, anche in maniera negativa. Un racconto della guerra integrale ma non convenzionale costa a Bianchi il titolo di "filoputiniano", appellativo concessogli dalla stampa mainstream in diverse occasioni. Il fotoreporter pubblicava nel 2022 un libro intitolato "Donbass stories", un racconto ricco di immagini: foto che riescono quasi a far toccare con mano le scene quotidiane dei luoghi di guerra.
