Direkt hinter der Gruppe schießt eine massive Aschewolke in den Himmel, während der Vulkan lautstark ausbricht. Nur Sekunden zuvor standen die Wanderer noch nahe am Kraterrand und genossen die Aussicht. Der Guide reagiert blitzschnell und führt die Gruppe aus der Gefahrenzone. Laut Behörden verzeichnete der hochaktive Vulkan am selben Tag 76 Ausbrüche.
