Fox Business Network’e açıklamalarda bulunan Miran, ABD’deki mevcut para politikasının “kısıtlayıcı” bir yapıda olduğunu ve ekonomik büyümeyi yavaşlattığını ifade etti. Politikanın nötr seviyede olduğu yönündeki görüşlere katılmadığını belirten Miran, reel ekonominin desteklenmesi için daha cesur adımlar atılmasının şart olduğunu vurguladı.

Miran, enflasyon verilerinin hedeflenen %2 seviyesine oldukça yaklaştığına dikkat çekerek şu ifadeleri kullandı:
“Para politikasının ekonomik aktiviteyi geride tuttuğu açık bir gerçek. Bu yıl içerisinde 100 baz puanın üzerinde bir faiz indirimi yapılmasının haklı sebepleri bulunuyor. Eğer bu adımlar atılmazsa, büyüme ivmesi sekteye uğrayabilir.”
