Mars has areas so risky and so complicated that they’ve basically become “forbidden zones,” even for NASA’s best rovers and landers. This video explores the parts of Mars that missions avoid, the real dangers hiding there, and why the planet isn’t just a dusty desert you can casually explore. Some zones are deadly because of extreme terrain, others because of dust, radiation, or landing conditions that can instantly end a mission. There are also places scientists want to visit more than anything, but the technology isn’t ready yet.
