(LaPresse) Per la Roma «quest’anno tutto è possibile». Ne è convinto l’ex attaccante giallorosso e attuale direttore sportivo della nazionale tedesca, Rudi Voeller. Il 'tedesco volante' si è detto impressionato dalla Roma di Gasperini, attualmente prima in classifica insieme all’Inter. «L’ho vista poche volte. Ma devo essere sincero, ho visto la partita con il Milan. È stata nettamente superiore, ha fatto veramente una grande partita. Peccato che hanno perso, ma sicuramente farà un grande campionato», ha dichiarato Voeller in un’intervista a LaPresse in occasione della serata di gala della stampa sportiva tedesca (Deutscher SportpresseBall), all’Opera di Francoforte. L’ex calciatore spera che l’Italia riesca a qualificarsi ai Mondiali del 2026 dopo le assenze nelle edizioni del 2018 e del 2022. «Un Mondiale senza l’Italia perde qualcosa», ha dichiarato il campione del mondo con la Germania a Italia ’90, premiato nell’occasione come 'leggenda' dello sport tedesco. Su un’eventuale finale tra gli Azzurri di Gattuso e i tedeschi di Nagelsmann, Voeller non ha dubbi: «Italia in finale contro la Germania? Firmo subito», ha commentato sorridendo.
