Repubblica ha dedicato ampio spazio al presunto "assedio" mediatico e giudiziario attorno al conduttore di Report, ricostruendo il rapporto tra Ranucci e Valter Lavitola, l'ex faccendiere arrestato come presunto mandante della bomba esplosa nell'ottobre 2025 davanti all'abitazione del giornalista a Pomezia.
La Verità ha pubblicato stralci dell'ordinanza della Gip Iole Moricca, che ricostruisce una conversazione telefonica tra Ranucci e Lavitola nella quale i due avrebbero tentato di costruire una giustificazione a una circostanza contestata nell'inchiesta, senza però trovare riscontri coerenti: secondo il giudice, scrive il quotidiano, "i tre cercavano una giustificazione alla circostanza contestata nel decreto di perquisizione senza però trovare una soluzione". Sul fronte politico, Il Fatto Quotidiano ha dato voce a Sandro Ruotolo, responsabile Informazione del PD, secondo cui l'attacco a Report si inserirebbe in un più ampio disegno di controllo della Rai in vista delle elezioni, sintetizzato nel titolo "TeleMeloni vuole Report nell'anno delle elezioni".
