Ia menyoroti pentingnya optimalisasi produksi migas dari sumur-sumur eksisting sekaligus mendorong percepatan eksplorasi di wilayah tersebut.
“Kami melihat gas dari sumur-sumur yang sudah lama ini masih terus berjalan. Insyaallah ada beberapa sumur yang pada 2026 akan ditingkatkan produksinya,” ujar Bahlil.
Ia juga menyinggung target lifting nasional yang tercantum dalam APBN 2025 sebesar 605.000 barel per hari.
Target tersebut optimistis dapat dicapai melalui dukungan dari wilayah-wilayah penghasil migas seperti Sorong.
Selain itu, Bahlil menilai, distribusi gas elpiji masih belum maksimal karena sebagai daerah penghasil tetapi belum ada stasiun pengisian bulk elpiji (SPBE).
“Lucu, di sini (Sorong) belum ada pabrik buat isi tabung gas. Jadi gasnya dari dibawa ke Surabaya, baru dibawa lagi ke Sorong. Ini membuat harga menjadi tidak efisien,” katanya.
Oleh karena itu, ia menegaskan bahwa pemerintah akan membangun SPBE di Sorong agar proses distribusi elpiji lebih efisien dan bisa menekan harga.
Ia juga mendorong agar pengusaha lokal diberi kesempatan mengelola SPBE tersebut.
