(LaPresse) I finanzieri della Sezione Operativa C.I.T.E.S. del Gruppo Malpensa ed i funzionari dell’Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, nell’ambito delle attività di controllo doganale a contrasto del commercio illegale della flora e della fauna in via di estinzione ai sensi della Convenzione di Washington, hanno intercettato e sottoposto a controllo una spedizione proveniente dalla Bosnia Erzegovina, il cui contenuto era dichiarato come «trofeo di caccia».
L’ispezione del pacco, che conteneva una pelliccia d’orso appartenente alla specie «ursus arctos» (orso bruno), regolarmente dichiarata, ha portato al rinvenimento di un cranio della stessa specie animale che, pur rientrando tra quelli tutelati dalla Convenzione di Washington sul commercio internazionale delle specie di fauna e flora selvatiche minacciate di estinzione, non era stato dichiarato né risultava scortato da alcuna documentazione che ne autorizzasse la regolare importazione ai fini delle norme CITES.
