Pencopotan Kepala Sekolah SMPN 1 Prabumulih, Roni Ardiansyah, bermula dari insiden yang diduga melibatkan teguran terhadap seorang siswa yang membawa mobil ke lingkungan sekolah.
Roni menegur siswa SMP yang membawa mobil ke sekolah, sebuah tindakan yang dianggap melanggar aturan karena siswa belum memiliki SIM.
Tak lama setelah teguran itu, Roni dicopot dari jabatannya sebagai kepala sekolah. Publik menduga pencopotan itu sebagai bentuk tekanan akibat teguran terhadap anak pejabat.
Video perpisahan Roni dengan murid-muridnya menjadi viral, memperkuat simpati publik dan memicu gelombang kritik terhadap pemerintah daerah.
Wali Kota Arlan membantah pencopotan terkait anaknya, menyebut mutasi sebagai bagian dari penyegaran organisasi. Ia juga menyampaikan permintaan maaf kepada Roni dan masyarakat.
