It is Neil ‘Buddy’ Shah, a global health executive who chairs Anthropic's Long-Term Benefit Trust.Shah does not run Anthropic's daily operations or build its Claude AI models. Yet the trust he chairs has the power to appoint and remove a majority of the company's board of directors. He is also barred from directly owning Anthropic stock as a trustee.
