Hoy, las multinacionales apuestan por minimizar riesgos grabando con un rango dinámico chato y desaturado para que la imagen se adapte sin problemas a las nuevas pantallas HDR, facilitando la colorización en postproducción pero perdiendo la esencia visual. Incluso cuando los creadores pelean por mantener una visión artística genuina, usar lentes anamórficos o iluminar con faroles de calor —como pasó en el rodaje de la serie argentina Hay algo en el bosque—, el grueso de la audiencia rara vez lo valora o lo nota.
