Presiden Prabowo hadir sebagai inspektur upacara peringatan HUT ke-80 TNI di Monas, Jakarta pada hari Minggu (5/10). Di acara HUT ini para tentara dari seluruh matra akan mengenakan seragam baru. Seragam PDL terbaru itu mengusung motif baru, menggantikan loreng lama yakni Loreng Malvinas yang sudah digunakan sejak 1982.Personel yang dikerahkan untuk HUT TNI sebanyak 133.480, yang terdiri dari pasukan TNI dan non-TNI atau masyarakat sipil dan alutsista yang tergelar berjumlah 1.047.
