Bei der Stichwahl um das Präsidentenamt in Kolumbien steht der rechte Kandidat Abelardo De La Espriella vor einem knappen Sieg. Nach Auszählung von 99,9 Prozent der Stimmen kam der Unternehmer und Anwalt laut vorläufigen Angaben der Wahlbehörde auf rund 49,6 Prozent der Stimmen, sein linker Rivale Iván Cepeda auf 48,7 Prozent.De la Espriella präsentiert sich als politischer Außenseiter, der noch nie ein politisches Amt bekleidete. Der 47-Jährige hat im Wahlkampf ein hartes Vorgehen gegen Kriminalität, den Bau von zehn Großgefängnissen sowie ein Ende der Friedensgespräche mit bewaffneten Gruppen angekündigt.
