I residenti avevano chiamato il 113 perché l'uomo stava dando in escandescenze in via Svevo; gli agenti lo hanno bloccato a terra con spray urticante e fascette ai polsi. Un video ripreso da un residente ha immortalato la scena: Fakir si dimena e urla "Aiuto, basta", con il peso di due agenti sopra di lui, prima di perdere i sensi.
