HEFTIGE VORWÜRFE: Gemeinsame Sache mit Schleusern? Diese Bilder bringen Sea-Watch in Erklärungsnot!

Neue Aufnahmen könnten die Debatte um die Seenotrettungsorganisation Sea-Watch weiter anheizen. Bilder der europäischen Grenzschutzagentur Frontex sollen zeigen, wie Migranten vor der libyschen Küste von Schlauchbooten auf das Rettungsschiff „Sea-Watch 5“ gebracht werden. Die italienische Justiz ermittelt nun wegen des Verdachts der Beihilfe zur illegalen Einwanderung.

Sea-Watch weist die Vorwürfe entschieden zurück und spricht von einer Rettungsaktion in akuter Seenot. Kritiker halten dagegen und bezweifeln, dass auf den Aufnahmen eine unmittelbare Notlage zu erkennen ist. Ob die Bilder tatsächlich auf eine strafbare Zusammenarbeit mit Schleusern hindeuten, müssen nun die Ermittlungen klären. Bis dahin gilt für die Beschuldigten die Unschuldsvermutung.
