Untuk memperingati hal tersebut, ribuan warga Inggris turun ke jalan di Trafalgar Square, London, pada Minggu (5/10/2025).
Diketahui, serangan tersebut menjadi yang paling mematikan dalam sejarah Israel.
Acara di pusat kota London ini menjadi bagian dari rangkaian peringatan serentak di sejumlah kota di Inggris.
Salah satunya termasuk penyalaan lilin di luar sinagoge di Manchester sebagai penghormatan bagi korban serangan mematikan pada Kamis (2/10/2025).
Dikutip dari BBC, Sharone Lifschitz, warga Israel yang orangtuanya disandera dalam serangan dua tahun silam mengatakan bahwa hidupnya hancur berantakan.
"Sudah hampir dua tahun hidup kami hancur berantakan," ujarnya.
"Kami tidak akan pernah melupakan orang-orang yang kami cintai atau kengerian yang mereka derita, dan hati kami juga bersama masyarakat yang berduka atas kejahatan kebencian dan pembunuhan baru-baru ini di Manchester."
"Semoga hari ini menjadi kali terakhir kita berkumpul sebagai komunitas untuk meminta dan menuntut agar perang ini segera berakhir," imbuhnya.
Acara yang diorganisasi oleh North West Friends of Israel itu dipenuhi warga yang mengibarkan bendera Israel, serta membawa poster yang menyerukan pembebasan para sandera. (*)
