TRIP REPORT | Is This the Best Business in Europe? | Vienna to Cairo | AUSTRIAN AIRLINES Airbus A321

Austrian Trip Report flying from Vienna to Cairo, in Business Class, onboard one of the Austrian Airbus A321 on a lovely day across Europe, as well as in Egypt.

A very comfortable flight from Vienna to Cairo on board the Austrian Business Class. This route is considered medium-haul in Austrian's network, so the service offered in Business Class is considerably better than on the European Business Class flights. Let's see what you think about it!

After a quick visit to the Austrian Business Lounge at Vienna airport, we headed to our gate. The plane was arriving late from Frankfurt, so we ended up with a 50-minute delay that we kept throughout the trip.

We took off from runway 16 in Vienna and quickly made a right turn towards Hungary to start our route to Cairo. We flew over the Balaton Lake before entering Serbia. There were some clouds, but we were lucky enough to spot the beautiful city of Belgrade. From there, we flew in direct course to Greece.

Over the Athos Mount, we entered the Aegean Sea, flying already in direct course to Egypt. We flew for a long time parallel to the coast of Türkiye, enjoying some amazing views of the mountains and cliffs next to it. The whole way over the Aegean Sea was amazing, flying over lots of Greek islands, including Rhodes and Kos.

We then entered Egypt over the Delta of the Nile, close to Alexandria. As we were descending, we flew closer and closer to the ground, which allowed us to have a better and better view of the Cairo outskirts. After a beautiful approach over the city, we landed 30 minutes late at Cairo airport, with some strong thermal currents.

About the onboard service, I have only good words. This business class, although the seats could be much better, is really worth it if you get a decent fare. The quality of food offered is really good. I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala as the main. It was really fresh and tasty. Everything on this meal, starting with the 3-phasic bread all the way to the Strudel for dessert, was amazing.

Now it's your turn!
Have you ever flown with Austrian Airlines? Which route? How was the experience? What do you think about the Austrian Business Class? Have you ever been in Cairo? Maybe in Vienna? Have you ever flown on the Airbus A321?
Lots of things to talk about! See you in the comments!
