Das Auswärtige Amt stellt seine finanzielle Unterstützung für die zivile Seenotrettung ein. 2024 hat Deutschland noch zwei Millionen Euro dafür gegeben. Rettungsorganisationen beklagen, dass das Menschenleben kosten werde. Gegner sind überzeugt, dass die Seenotrettung eine Motivation für Flüchtende ist.
