Sachsen-Anhalt: Haseloff gibt vorzeitig an Schulze ab! Ein letzter Trumpf gegen die AfD?In Sachsen-Anhalt ist der Weg frei für einen Wechsel an der Regierungsspitze. Die Landesvorstände von CDU, SPD und FDP haben der geplanten Staffelstabübergabe von Ministerpräsident Reiner Haseloff an CDU-Landeschef Sven Schulze zugestimmt. Haseloff hatte seinen Rückzug angeboten, sofern die schwarz-rot-gelbe Koalition fortgesetzt wird.
Politikwissenschaftler Professor Werner Patzelt bewertet den Schritt als taktisches Manöver der Union. Der Amtsbonus solle helfen, die CDU in einer schwierigen politischen Lage zu stabilisieren. Ob diese Strategie aufgeht, sei jedoch offen. Patzelt betont, dass die Schwäche der CDU in Sachsen-Anhalt weniger an der Person Haseloff liege, sondern an der bundespolitischen Großwetterlage und dem Verlust konservativer Wähler an die AfD. Ein personeller Wechsel allein könne diesen Trend kaum umkehren. Die AfD habe sich in Ostdeutschland längst von einer Protestpartei zu einer festen politischen Kraft entwickelt.
