Peringati May Day, Massa Buruh Aksi ke Istana: Tolak Upah Murah, Outsourcing dan Cabut Omnibus Law
Ribuan massa aksi dari Partai Buruh dan sejumlah serikat buruh lainnya mulai melakukan long march dalam memeringati May Day atau Hari Buruh Internasional, Rabu (1/5/2024). Mereka bergerak dari depan Balaikota DKI Jakarta menuju Patung Kuda dan berlanjut ke Istana Negara di Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jakarta Pusat.Dari pantauan MNC Portal Indonesia long march sudah dilakukan sejak pukul 09.50 WIB, ribuan buruh berjalan membawa bendera dari masing-masing organisasi serikat buruhnya.
Presiden Partai Buruh yang juga Presiden Konfederasi Serikat Pekerja Indonesia (KSPI) Said Iqbal menyampaikan, May Day 2024 akan diselenggarakan di ratusan kota industri di seluruh Indonesia.
"Sebanyak 200 ribu orang lebih akan mengikuti May Day di seluruh Indonesia, antara lain di Jakarta, Bandung, Serang, Surabaya, Semarang, Batam, Makassar, Banjarmasin, Ternate, Mimika, dan lain sebagainya," kata Said Iqbal dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Selasa (30/4/2024).
Untuk di Jakarta, aksi akan dipusatkan di Istana Negara jam 09.30 - 12.30 WIB. Said Iqbal mengklaim sebanyak 50 ribu peserta aksi May Day di Istana akan bergerak ke Stadion Madya Senayan, merayakan May Day Fiesta.
Said Iqbal menjelaskan, ada dua tuntutan utama yang diserukan oleh peserta May Day 2024 di seluruh Indonesia, yaitu: Cabut Omnivus Law UU Cipta Kerja dan HOSTUM; Hapus OutSourcing Tolak Upah Murah.
"Tahun 2024 ratusan ribu buruh di PHK, kenaikan upah akibat ommibus law hanya 1,8 persen, padahal inflasi 2,8 persen. Jadi nggak naik upah, kita malah nombok, nomboknya 1 persen. Kenaikan ekonomi nggak dinikmati orang kelas bawah," imbuh Iqbal.
