Rethinking Mongolian identity beyond the past | Anujin Ulziidelger | TEDxKhan Uul District
In Mongolia, culture is often treated as something old—traditions to be preserved, customs frozen in time, and practices belonging to the past. This view turns culture into something static. Yet Mongolian culture was never built on stillness. Nomadic life itself depended on movement, adaptation, and constant response to change. Culture, at its core, was always alive. This talk argues that culture is not something we simply inherit, but something we actively create through our choices, values, and actions. Especially for younger generations, culture is not disappearing; it is evolving. What we speak, build, question, and carry forward becomes culture. It does not live only in history or in museums. Culture lives in people—now and into the future. MindMaze, founder of a cultural and intellectual puzzle game club organization
