At least four people were killed and dozens injured after Hasina supporters allegedly attacked a convoy of the National Citizen Party, which is a student-led group. The clashes marked a year of Hasina's ouster from Bangladesh. A curfew was imposed overnight as tensions soared.
In another development, Syria’s interim President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, vowed accountability for attacks on the Druze minority in the south. The Syrian government has reportedly withdrawn forces entirely from violence-hit Sweida province.
