¿Qué hay detrás de los personajes que la izquierda y el progresismo convirtieron en referentes? 📚 En esta entrevista con Agenda Azul presento mi libro “Ídolos con pies de barro” y explico por qué cuestiono la imagen idealizada de algunas de sus figuras más influyentes.
🔎 Converso sobre Michel Foucault y su influencia en la cultura woke; sobre Frida Kahlo y su reivindicación como símbolo feminista; sobre Hugo Chávez y su papel en la expansión del socialismo del siglo XXI; y sobre Bergoglio, sus posiciones políticas y las contradicciones que encuentro con la doctrina católica.
Mi propuesta es examinar la distancia entre la imagen pública de estos personajes, sus ideas y los aspectos de sus biografías que abordo en el libro. ¿Cómo se construye un ídolo político? ¿Por qué ciertos referentes siguen despertando admiración? ¿Qué ocurre cuando se los somete a una mirada crítica?
🗣️ También reflexiono sobre la batalla cultural, el pensamiento de Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira y el desafío que tenemos por delante: persuadir, formar a las nuevas generaciones y consolidar las ideas más allá de una victoria electoral o una moda pasajera.
