TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Perdana Menteri baru Inggris, Keir Starmer menegaskan akan mundukung upaya penangkapan PM Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.Diketahui, Pengadilan Kriminal Internasional (ICC) telah berupaya menangkap Netanyahu dan 2 tokoh militer Israel terkait genosida di Gaza.
Sosok Starmer mendapat perhatian positif seusai mengatakan kepada Presiden Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas bahwa Palestina punya hak mutlak menjadi sebuah negara.
Ia juga tak segan mendesak Netanyahu segera melakukan gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza, Palestina.
"Kebutuhan yang jelas dan mendesak akan gencatan senjata, kembalinya sandera, dan peningkatan segera dalam jumlah bantuan kemanusiaan yang menjangkau warga sipil," kata Keir Starmer.
Starmer pun menyebut, dirinya memahami penderitaan para korban jiwa atas seranagan Israel di Gaza.
Sebagai informasi, Starmer sendiri telah resmi dilantik pada Jumat (5/7/2024) menggantikan Rishi Sunak.
