Mindestens eine Tote nach Sturm-Nacht | LIVEDer Deutsche Wetterdienst bestätigt, dass es im brandenburgischen Fürstenwalde/Spree einen Tornado gegeben hat. «Bei dem Ereignis in Fürstenwalde handelt es sich unzweifelhaft um einen Tornado», teilte der DWD auf Anfrage der Deutschen Presse-Agentur mit. Das sei inzwischen anhand mehrerer Videos, die auf Social-Media-Kanälen verbreitet wurden, belegt worden.
Über die Stärke des Tornados, der gegen 17.15 Uhr tobte, lasse sich noch keine verlässliche Aussage treffen, da noch genauere Untersuchungen abgewartet werden müssten, hieß es. «Nach Sichtung erster Schadensbilder kann aber mindestens von der Intensität IF1 nach der Internationalen Fujita-Skala ausgegangen werden», das entspreche Windgeschwindigkeiten um 150 Kilometern pro Stunde. Die Fujita-Skala dient der Schadensklassifikation für starke Winde.
