14 Penambang Tewas Tertimbun Longsor di Gunung Kuda | Narasi Daily
Berdasarkan data dari BPBD (Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah) Provinsi Jawa Barat jumlah korban meninggal akibat longsor di lokasi tambang Gunung Kuda telah mencapai 14 orang, tim masih mencari sejumlah orang yang diduga masih tertimbun.Kepala Dinas Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral Jawa Barat, Bambang Tirto Mulyono menjelaskan longsor penambangan di Gunung Kuda disebabkan kesalahan metode penambangan. Penambangan seharusnya dilakukan dari atas secara terasering.
“Jenis batuan seperti ini seharusnya ditambang dari atas ke bawah, bukan sebaliknya. Ini sudah dijelaskan berkali-kali oleh inspektur tambang,” kata Bambang dikutip Antara saat memberi keterangan kepada media di area longsor lokasi tambang Gunung Kuda, Kabupaten Cirebon, Jawa Barat, pada Jumat (30/5/2025).
Ia juga mengungkapkan sudah memberi peringatan berkali-kali kepada pengelola tambang, namun peringatan itu tidak diindahkan. Sebelumnya pernah terjadi longsor di area yang sama pada Februari 2025 tanpa korban jiwa.
Gubernur Jawa Barat, Dedi Mulyadi dalam unggahan media sosialnya, (30/5), menyatakan bahwa pemerintah provinsi Jawa Barat telah mengeluarkan keputusan berupa pemberian sanksi administratif dalam bentuk penghentian izin pengelolaan tambang galian yang dikelola oleh Koperasi Pondok Pesantren Al Azhariyyah.
