Jokowi menyebut, ini merupakan hak prerogatif presiden yang dilindungi oleh UUD 1945.
Atas hal itu, Jokowi menghormati keputusan tersebut.
Pernyataan itu disampaikan Jokowi saat ditemui di kediamannya, Sumber, Solo, Jawa Tengah, Jumat (1/8).
Terkait dengan keputusan Prabowo ini, Jokowi mengakui tak ada pembicaraan dengan dirinya sebelumnya.
Meski demikian, pihaknya mengaku tetap berhubungan baik dengan Prabowo.
Pertemuan terakhirnya dengan Prabowo di Bakmi Jowo Bu Citro, Minggu (20/7) lalu itu hanya membahas soal Kongres PSI yang sudah selesai digelar.
