(LaPresse) La secca storica del fiume Adda ferma anche il traghetto di Leonardo da Vinci a Imbersago, in provincia di Lecco. «Il fiume ha una portata di circa 55 metri cubi al secondo, contro i 180 di un mese fa - spiega il sindaco Fabio Vergani -: manca acqua per agricoltura, cittadini e industria, un'estate che ricorda solo il 2022. Servono piogge intense e prolungate, non temporali passeggeri». Il natante, ultimo superstite prima della costruzione dei ponti, viene usato anche da studenti e lavoratori nel periodo di chiusura del ponte di Brivio, spiega il presidente della Pro Loco Fabio Mapelli. Il Traghetto leonardesco è una delle attrazioni più affascinanti e caratteristiche del fiume Adda. Si tratta di un particolare tipo di traghetto a mano, il cui funzionamento sfrutta ingegno e forza della natura, senza bisogno di un motore. Leonardo studiò approfonditamente l’imbarcazione durante il suo soggiorno a Vaprio d’Adda tra il 1506 e il 1507, tanto da riprodurlo nei suoi disegni ancora oggi conservati nel Codice Windsor, oggi custodito nell’omonimo castello in Inghilterra. Da oltre 500 anni questi battelli collegano a impatto zero le sponde dell’Adda, fino a qualche giorno fa quando la secca del fiume ha costretto l’amministrazione a fermare i viaggi dell’imbarcazione.
