60 Minutes pure aviation, today with classic planes only. I filmed the first clip of this video at Cologne. A Tupolev TU154 was flying missions at Cologne three years ago and I was standing right beneath it during approach. I enjoyed the amazing sound of the classic jet and shortly before touchdown the Tupolev even opened its reversers while it was still in the air.I also included other classic planes, including a Boeing 707 (E8) which I filmed at Geilenkirchen. Also note the beautiful Douglas DC-8 of Samaritans Purse, one of the last active DC8` s worlwide which will be retired later in 2025.
Another great looking plane is the red Boeing 727 of Oil Spill response which visited Weeze Airport on a test flight last year.
