Pasalnya, kampus yang berada di Jalan Brigjen H Hasan Basri, Kayutangi ini dilanda kebakaran pada Senin (28/7/2025), sekira pukul 06.38 WITA.
Sejumlah unit pemadam kebakaran dan petugas gabungan pun dikerahkan untuk mengatasi insiden nahas ini.
Diketahui bahwa kepulan asap yang membumbung tinggi dari lokasi kejadian berasal dari gedung rektorat yang terbakar.
Menurut video yang ditemukan Tribunnews, terlihat jelas suasana mencekam dari lokasi kejadian.
Asap membumbung tinggi, suara sirene bersahutan dengan suara komando dari para petugas.
Berdasarkan laporan terakhir dari Tribun Banjarmasin, proses pemadaman masih berlangsung.
Belum diketahui adanya korban jiwa dalam insiden ini, serta kerugian yang diterima oleh pihak universitas.
Selain itu dari pihak ULM sendiri belum memberikan keterangan resmi terkait insiden yang melanda universitas tertua di Kalimantan Selatan itu.
