Scoperta la centrale dei furti di rame a Padova. Un maxi-blitz della Polizia, avvenuto nelle prime ore dell'alba all’interno dei campi nomadi della città, ha portato all’identificazione di 83 persone (tra cui 15 minorenni) con precedenti per reati contro il patrimonio. Controllate anche 12 soggetti agli arresti domiciliari per gli stessi crimini. Il centinaio di poliziotti in azione ha sequestrato decine di matasse di rame per un peso complessivo di diversi quintali e dal valore di svariate migliaia di euro. Alberto Stefani, il presidente della Regione, ha espresso le sue «congratulazioni a tutto il personale delle varie componenti della Polizia che ha reso possibile l'operazione. [...] Il successo ha coronato un intervento efficace e opportuno che ha visto all'opera agenti non solo della Questura e della Squadra Mobile, ma anche di altre specialità compreso il Reparto di Volo di Venezia.
