A siglare l'accordo per l'Italia l'Ambasciatore Armando Varricchio, inviato speciale del Ministro degli Esteri Tajani per l'innovazione e le nuove tecnologie, e l'Ambasciatore Usa Tilman Fertitta. A Palazzo Montenegro erano presenti, tra gli altri, il Prefetto di Brindisi, Guido Aprea, il sindaco Pino Marchionna, il Presidente del Consiglio regionale pugliese, Toni Matarrelli e il vicepresidente della Commissione Antimafia Mauro D'Attis. “Sono molto stupito dai progressi registrati nella nostra cooperazione bilaterale. Penso al gruppo di lavoro che abbiamo creato sui minerali critici e alla visione comune sull'innovazione per il recupero delle materie prime. In questo modo , stiamo garantendo i rifornimenti per la tecnologia del futuro. Mettendo in campo i nostri rispettivi settori economici, creeremo nuove opportunità di investimento e una resilienza economica di cui beneficeranno sia i cittadini italiani sia quelli americani.
