Hambre en Cuba: prohíben a padres llevar merienda a sus hijos en círculos infantiles
Alex Otaola expone una de las escenas más desgarradoras de la Cuba actual: un padre desesperado que reclama comida para su hija en un círculo infantil, donde no solo falta todo tipo de alimentos, sino que además prohíben a los padres llevar merienda desde sus casas.El activista cubanoamericano cuestiona directamente a los Comités de Defensa de la Revolución (CDR), responsables de vigilar y reprimir en los barrios, pidiéndoles que respondan a ese padre que clama por lo más elemental: alimentar a su hija. “Esa es la realidad —señala Otaola—, un país donde no hay corriente, no hay comida, no hay nada, y aún así le niegan a un padre el derecho de dar de comer a su propio hijo”.
En su análisis, Otaola vincula esta denuncia con la crisis educativa y social de la isla: jóvenes que ya no quieren estudiar porque un título universitario no ofrece futuro alguno, familias que sobreviven en la miseria, y un régimen que utiliza instituciones como los círculos infantiles para adoctrinar en lugar de garantizar derechos básicos. “Esa es la postura que hay que tener —afirma—: mi hijo no es del Estado, me lo llevo yo”.
