KOMPAS.TV - Ratusan aktivis Global Sumud Flotilla yang ditahan Israel telah diproses di Pelabuhan Ashdod sebagai bagian dari persiapan deportasi kembali ke negara asal mereka.Rekaman yang dirilis oleh polisi Israel pada hari Kamis menampilkan aktivis yang menjalani proses pemeriksaan usai mereka ditangkap dan dipindahkan dari kapal.
Aktivis mengatakan ada sekitar 500 orang yang berada di atas kapal dan ditahan Israel.
Otoritas Israel menyatakan konvoi kapal Global Sumud Flotilla melanggar blokade yang sudah ditetapkan. Israel menegaskan akan menghentikan misi yang dilakukan Global Sumud Flotilla. Ratusan aktivis yang ditahan telah diproses untuk dideportasi kembali ke negara asal mereka.
Penangkapan aktivis yang tergabung dalam aksi damai Global Sumud Flotilla oleh Israel diprotes aktivis pro-Palestina di sejumlah negara. Di Paris, Prancis, aksi protes berujung bentrok.
Pendemo meminta segala bentuk kerja sama dan penjualan senjata ke Israel dihentikan, serta meminta aktivis konvoi perdamaian Flotilla dilindungi. Demo serupa juga terjadi di sejumlah negara seperti Kolombia, Italia, dan Spanyol.
