Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in India one day before the BRICS Summit officially kicks off. Pezeshkian attended the BRICS business forum and spoke about moving towards a BRICS currency and insurance system, away from the US Dollar. Pezeshkian also blamed the United States and Israel for destabilizing the Gulf. After the forum, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen walking hand-in-hand with Iranian President Pezeshkian with Vladimir Putin to the right. Following a photo session, PM Modi held a bilateral meeting with Pezeshkian and the Iranian delegation which included Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. India and Iran discussed the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the blocked Strait of Hormuz.
