TRIP REPORT | Perfect Flight on Iberia Business Class | IBERIA A330-300 | London to Vienna (via MAD)

Iberia Trip Report flying from London to Vienna (via Madrid Terminal 4), onboard an Airbus A330 and an Airbus A320, in business class, on a beautiful spring day.

A very enjoyable flight on the Iberia business class from London Heathrow to Vienna, via Madrid. A flight in business class is always extremely comfortable. Now, if you add that Iberia uses its long-haul fleet on the route to London, then you get the perfect European business class experience.

We started our journey at Heathrow Terminal 5. After some exploration and a very nice planespotting session, we boarded the A330 that would take us to Madrid. The business class was configured 1-2-1, so it was just perfect.

We took off on time from Heathrow heading west and quickly made a left turn to start our route to Madrid. We flew over Brest and the Cantabrian Sea, just before entering Spain over Santander. From there, we flew in a direct course to Madrid, where we landed in time.

We parked at Terminal 4S, and our flight to Vienna was departing from Terminal 4. After almost 1h on an unacceptable passport control queue, we took the underground train and in less than 10 minutes we were already at the main T4 building, where our A320 was already waiting for us.

Boarding and takeoff were more or less on time. We flew towards Barcelona, then Marseille, Cannes, Genoa, Milan, and, after crossing the Alps, the city of Vienna, where we landed slightly ahead of schedule.

About the onboard service, the Iberia European Business Class is known for taking a lot of care about the meals served. On these flights, it was exactly like that: both full warm meals were fantastic. On the first flight, I had the chicken breast as the main, while on the second flight, I had Braised Pork Shank. While everything was super tasty (as expected, being Do&Co catering), I must give a special mention to the desserts: a chocolate cake and passion fruit panna cotta. They were clearly above average. Amazing. Delicious.

Iberia is an airline that went through a huge transformation during the last 6-8 years. I remember when their A340 didn't have personal tv's on the seats! And that wasn't a long time ago: 6-8 years. The catering was really poor, and the onboard service was completely outdated. After this trip, I think we can say that Iberia is back at the top of the European Business Classes, without any doubt.

Now it is your turn!
Have you ever flown with Iberia? Have you tried their business class? What do you think about their service? Have you been to London? Maybe in Madrid or Vienna? Have you ever flown on the A330?
Many things to talk about! Read you all in the comments!!
