BREAKING: Five British men arrested over suspected terrorism offences near RAF Fairford
UK police say five men arrested over suspected terrorism and explosives offences near RAF Fairford are British nationals aged between 23 and 25 who live in London.The suspects were detained on Sunday after reports of three large white vans heading towards RAF Fairford, a base used by US forces to launch strikes on Iran. Police say they are pursuing new leads and possible motives, while bomb disposal teams continue examining vehicles at the scene.
Counterterrorism police have urged against speculation over a possible link to Iran. Iran’s embassy in London has rejected speculation connecting Tehran to the arrests, calling the claims “unfounded and malicious.”
