Anggota KPU RI Idham Holik mengatakan perubahan ini dilakukan untuk menyesuaikan beberapa putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi.
Hari ini, Selasa (24/6/2025), dilakukan uji publik yang digelar KPU, di mana sebanyak 17 poin perubahan telah dipresentasikan kepada para peserta sebagai bagian dari proses penyusunan regulasi baru tersebut. Poin-poin ini memuat penyempurnaan mekanisme PAW dari aspek legal, administratif, hingga afirmatif.
Salah satu pengaturan penting yang diubah adalah syarat-syarat pemberhentian anggota legislatif, termasuk karena tidak hadir rapat, tersangkut pidana, atau melanggar kode etik. Selain itu, KPU memprioritaskan kebijakan afirmasi dalam rancangan ini, khususnya mendorong keterwakilan perempuan di parlemen.
