NRW Kommunalwahlen: CDU gewinnt klar in NRW – AfD überholt Grüne und sorgt für Schock in Großstädten

Bei der Kommunalwahl in Nordrhein-Westfalen bleibt die CDU mit 33,3 Prozent trotz leichter Verluste stärkste Kraft. Die SPD erreichte 22,1 Prozent, während die AfD mit 14,5 Prozent ihr Ergebnis fast verdreifachte und auf Platz drei landete – vor den Grünen, die deutlich verloren. Die Wahl gilt als erster Stimmungstest für die Bundesregierung unter Friedrich Merz. In mehreren Großstädten wie Köln, Düsseldorf und Bonn kommt es am 28. September zu Stichwahlen um die Oberbürgermeisterposten. Auch in Städten wie Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg und Hagen erreichten AfD-Kandidaten Stichwahlen. Ministerpräsident Hendrik Wüst zeigte sich trotz CDU-Sieg besorgt über das starke Abschneiden der AfD. Die Wahlbeteiligung lag bei 56,8 Prozent.
