Muere joven manifestante del 11J tras salir con licencia extrapenal

El influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola reaccionó con indignación tras conocerse la muerte de Luis Miguel Oña Jiménez, joven manifestante del 11 de julio que cumplía condena por sedición. Según la denuncia difundida por su madre, el joven había sido excarcelado con licencia extrapenal debido a su delicado estado de salud y falleció pocos días después en su vivienda en La Habana.

Oña Jiménez fue arrestado tras las protestas del 11J en el barrio de La Güinera y sentenciado a 14 años de prisión. Diversos reportes indican que padecía una enfermedad grave y que su salud se deterioró mientras permanecía bajo custodia. El activista cuestiona las condiciones médicas y penitenciarias en que se encontraba.

El presidente de la Fundación Cubana Anticomunista también señaló el silencio de organismos internacionales y gobiernos que suelen pronunciarse sobre otros temas, pero que, según él, no reaccionan con la misma firmeza ante casos como este.

Otaola llamó a visibilizar la situación de los presos políticos del 11J y a mantener la presión internacional sobre el régimen cubano por el trato a los detenidos y las condiciones carcelarias.
