If you're in a competitive PVP match you can change your artifact mods to have any combination that you want, so this allows you to get 7x Pack Tactics which massively boosts threadlings damage. There's also the method that allows you to instantly start a damage phase on Argos by going to the joining allies at the very beginning of the encounter. Combining these two, you're able to 1 phase Argos without much effort at all.

However, this is still very RNG dependent. Most of the time you won't have enough damage, and the Threadlings will either launch themselves off the map or stack too slowly. Other times (like in this attempt) you'll get a massive damage stack boost from the get go, allowing you to deal enough damage to clear the boss. I found getting enough stacks more consistent when I'd make a Tangle at the start and throw it at the Hobgoblin at the side with Swarmers, so you can get Pack Tactics started a little earlier. This attempt the Threadlings didn't hit it and it didn't work, but I got one of those lucky times where you get high stacks from the super and it does more damage than it normally does.

tl;dr, it's very RNG, but doable.

I'll eventually go back for a proper Solo Argos later on, but while these bugs are available people are more interested in seeing these.
