Juru Bicara Trump, Steven Cheung menyampaikan bahwa kondisi Trump saat ini dalam keadaan baik.
Trump juga berterima kasih pada para petugas penegak hukum dan penanggap darurat atas aksi cepat mereka dalam insiden tersebut.
Sementara itu, melalui media sosial Social Truth miliknya, Trump juga menyampaikan rasa terima kasih atas dukungan untuknya.
Trump menegaskan tak akan takut dan tetap teguh dalam menentang kejahatan.
Adapun mulanya Trump diminta beristirahat selama dua hari seusai penembakan.
Namun Trump berubah pikiran dan memilih melanjutkan perjalanan ke Milwaukee, Wiscounsin pada Minggu malam waktu Amerika Serikat.
Ia menyatakan, tak mau membiarkan siapapun termasuk pelaku penembakan untuk mengubah jadwal.
Menurutnya, hanya Tuhan yang dapat mencegah terjadinya hal yang tak terpikirkan.
Trump dijadwalkan untuk menunjuk calon wakil presiden dan menerima nominasi resmi dari Partai Republik.
Adapun kandidat cawapres Trump yakni senator J.D Vance dari Ohio, senator Marco Rubio dari Florida, dan Gubernur Dakota Utara Doug Burgum.
Dalam kunjungan ke Milwaukee, Trump juga akan didampingi oleh sang istri, Melania Trump.
Belum diketahui apakah Melania akan ikut memberikan pidato atau tidak.
Adapun sebelumnya Melania telah menyampaikan kecamannya terhadap insiden penembakan Trump.
