ÄGYPTEN: Pomp und Lichtspektakel – Museum der Superlative eröffnet!Mit einer spektakulären Zeremonie hat Ägypten das Grand Egyptian Museum in Gizeh eröffnet. Das Museum, das nach über 20 Jahren Bauzeit fertiggestellt wurde, zeigt mehr als 100.000 Artefakte aus der ägyptischen Antike, darunter den Grabschatz des Gottes Amun. Auch Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier nahm an der Eröffnung teil. Die Regierung hofft auf mehr als fünf Millionen Besucher jährlich. Das Museum gilt als das größte seiner Art weltweit und soll Ägyptens kulturelles Erbe neu erlebbar machen.
