Peru Police Use Tear Gas to Clear Protesters | VOA News
Police used tear gas to disperse people trying to protest in downtown Lima Monday, as hundreds took to the streets over the ousting of former President Pedro Castillo.Demonstrators in Lima threw objects at police, who responded by firing tear gas.
Protesters demanded the resignation of current President Dina Boluarte, closure of Congress, changes to the constitution and Castillo's release. (Reuters)
