On the 17th of August, Russia's nuclear submarine Khabarovsk began its sea trials. The submarine has been designed specially to carry up to six nuclear-torpedoes, called the Poseidon. Moscow has confirmed that the Khabarovsk is not carrying the Poseidon torpedoes during the sea trials. However, Kremlin-backed media have urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to launch the Poseidon against the United Kingdom, after Britain announced more weapons support and aid to Ukraine. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham reached in Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine's independence day on August 24 and pledged to send Ukraine more weapons, including drones, long-range missiles, air defence systems and intelligence. The UK is also looking to assist in increasing the production of the air-launched storm shadow missile. Russia has accused the UK of adding fuel to the war in Ukraine.
