Сколько должны стоить игры? $70, $80, $100 или $130? Нам втирают, что разработка дорожает, надо компенсировать расходы, поэтому рекомендуют стать «настоящими фанатами» и поддерживать обнаглевших разработчиков и издателей. Проблема в том, что все эти сказки про ПОВЫШЕНИЕ СТОИМОСТИ ИГР разбиваются о китайский рынок. А там средняя стоимость ААА-продукта — около $40.

Разбираем ситуацию на примере Borderlands 4. Для Запада уже готовы три издания за $70, $100, $130. Для Китая — прогнулись и поставили $40. Хочется, чтобы игру покупали. Хочется миллионных тиражей, как у Stellar Blade. Стоило этой игре выйти на ПК, и она за 3 дня сделала половину продаж на PS5! Вдохновляющий пример.

То есть, региональные цены работают, а еще лучше работают низкие цены. Все это понимают, но лохов, ой простите, «настоящих фанатов» из США и Европы будут доить, пока вымя не отсохнет. То есть, пока работает дорогостоящий маховик рекламной кампании.
